Jeter wins again in Europe U.S. INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS - BOSTON, MA Andra Manson (Nike) kept his streak alive by defending his U.S. Indoor title with a mark of 2.32 meters.
Manson has been over 2.30 meters in all but one of his five indoor meetings and the final four of the season. He also won three of his last four meetings. Me’Lisa Barber returned to the top of the podium with a win in the women's 60 meters. The 2006 World Indoor Champion picked up her third U.S. title, her second indoors. Also turning in strong performances were 2009 U.S. World Cross team member Julie Culley (NYAC) and Matt Scherer (Nike OTC) who placed third in the women's 3000 meters and men's 800 meters, respectively. Culley's time of 8:55.62 was also a lifetime best. PRAGUE INTERNATIONAL MEETING - PRAGUE, CZE Carmelita Jeter (USA/Nike) extended her winning streak by dominating a field that included 2008 World Indoor Champion Angela Williams. After a poor start, Jeter ran down the field to win by a margin of .07. She closed out the indoor campaign winning her final three meetings with a total of three out of four wins.
