Will Leer ran 3:55.66 in the Men’s mile, which is a personal best by over 1 second.  Leer ran a close second to Beijing Olympic Silver Medalist Nick Willis.  The performance qualified Leer for both the USATF Indoor Championships, to be held in Albuquerque, NM on February 27-28, as well as the IAAF World Indoor Championships to be held in Doha, Qatar on March 12-14.

Sally Kipyego followed up her Millrose mile performance with a nearly 17 second PR (14:52.67) in the Women’s 5,000 meters.  Kipyego’s previous best of 15:09 was set nearly two years ago during the outdoor season.  OTC Elite Coach Mark Rowland has been excited with Kipyego’s progress through the early season noting that “Sally is really focused on the outdoor season, however she has still performed well over the last couple of weeks.”
