FALMOUTH, Mass. -- Russell Brown of Eugene, Ore. out-stepped Olympic silver medalist Nick Willis of New Zealand to claim the 2010 CIGNA Falmouth Mile title with a time of 3:59.61, narrowly outrunning Willis who finished in 3:59.73. For the fourth consecutive year the elite men broke four minutes.

Gabe Anderson 2nd in Falmouth Mile, Heather Dorniden Completes Track Season

..."In the annual Falmouth Mile held on Saturday evening on the Falmouth High School track, Gabriele Anderson was second in the women's mile race with a time of 4:46.27.  Anderson will race again on Sept. 19 when she heads for Duluth to compete in the Minnesota Mile hosted by Grandma's Marathon.
 
Heather Dorniden has returned from Europe and completed her summer track season after competing in meets in Switzerland and Belgium.  On Aug. 8 she was third in her heat at a meet in Lucerne with a time of 2:03.89 in the 800 meters, and on Aug. 14, she was seventh in the Flanders Cup meet in Leuven with a time of 2:03.42 in the 800.  Her best time during the outdoor season was 2:01.75 which she posted at a meet in Liege, Belgium, in July."

Gabriele Anderson to Run Falmouth Mile Aug. 14

Minneapolis/St. Paul - Aug. 11, 2010 - Two Team USA Minnesota athletes will travel to Falmouth, Massachusetts, this weekend to compete, with Gabriele Anderson running the CIGNA Falmouth Mile on Aug. 14 and Antonio Vega among the competitors in the CIGNA Falmouth Road Race on Aug. 15.

Heather Dorniden Returns to Europe for Track Competitions Aug. 8-14

Minneapolis/St. Paul - Aug. 5, 2010 - Team USA Minnesota's Heather Dorniden travels back to Europe this week to continue her summer track campaign.  She is confirmed to run the 800 meters at the Spitzen Leichathletik meet in Lucerne, Switzerland, on Aug. 8 and at the Flanders Cup meet in Lueven, Belgium, on Aug. 14, with the possibility of another race mid-week.
