Total Sports athletes dominate championships, prepare for Doha

US Indoor Championships - Albuquerque, NM --- Carmelita Jeter (Nike) dominated the women's 60 meters running 7.02, a new personal best and the second fastest time in the world. Gloria Asumnu (Adidas) placed third in the womens 60 meters and Me’lisa Barber ran the meets second time winning her semi final in 7.13 before being eliminated in the final due to a false start. In the men’s 800 meters, Nick Symmonds (Nike OTC) won in his normal fashion - with a big kick!

OTC Elite to compete at USATF Indoors

Eugene, Oregon – The Oregon Track Club Elite will be competing at the USATF Indoor National Championships this weekend (February 27-28th) in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  The Indoor National Championships, which are being held at the Albuquerque Convention Center, is the qualifying event for the IAAF World Indoor Championships to be held in Doha, Qatar on March 12-14th.  Many of the OTC Elite athletes competing this weekend have been training at Albuquerque’s nearly 6,000 feet of altitude since the middle of January to prepare for the event.
